Valentine's Day and "FUN"-due

We celebrated Valentine's this year with a fondue dinner, which we now refer to as FUN-due. Thanks to my good friend, Kim, for letting us borrow her fondue pots (ALL three of them)!! I'm not sure if it is clear from the picture, but we had chicken and steak fondue and bread with cheese fondue. We were so full we never did get around to the dessert fondue. What a great night with all five of my valentines!!! XOXOXO

Christmas with the Family

Showing off some of the wonderful presents they received while celebrating Christmas with the family! Thanks to all of you for your generosity!! We love you and had a great time!

Fun with Aunt Debra and Uncle Rob

I just LOVE these pictures of J with Aunt Debra and Uncle Rob! I don't even have anything to post about them. I just LOVE it!

Christmas with Cheyenne

While we had Cheyenne on Jacob's birthday (Christmas Eve) we had her open her gifts. She was so fun to watch. As you can tell by the last picture she just wasn't that into the boxes!! HAHA look at that box fly!

Happy Birhday, Jacob!!!

We have had a lot happening since my last post. Jacob had his "actual" 8th birthday with the ritual birthday pancake breakfast complete with candles and grandma D. This year Cheyenne was there, too, which made my blue VERY happy.

Gotta LOVE the boys!!!

We celebrated Jacob turning eight last night by letting him have a party with his buddies. Thank you to all of my friends who allowed their children to come over to celebrate. With Jacob's birthday being on Christmas Eve, it makes it very difficult to have parties with friends because of all the activity of the season, travelling and so forth. I think ALL of the boys enjoyed their evening. I know it wore *me* out! I hope we can do this again next year.

Where's Scooby???

Scooby went and hid under my bed one day and when I called him he only peeked his head and paws out from underneath of my bed. He is so cute!! I love that face!

More Trick-or-Treat

Was someone looking for batgirls?

Here are some long overdue trick-or-treating pictures. I have to say it---They are all so cute!

A Fall Picnic

We had the GREAT idea to go on a picnic after the pumpkin patch. It was COLD!!!! Brrrrrr........... HAHA, I think you can tell by the pictures that the kids were just a bit on the cold side. Let's just say that we scarfed our food and ended the picnic rather quickly. It was fun, though!

A little late..........

We got to keep the Russell boyZ in the month of October and took the entire gang to the pumpkin patch. We had a great time and really love getting to spend time with the guys! Thanks, Norm and Amy for letting us have them.

Outburst for today.......

I HATE MY HAIR!!!! Oh, that felt good. I have never really LOVED my hair, but I just know there was a time in which I at least liked it. My problem is that I can't seem to get myself back to the time that I liked my hair and remember how it was cut and what I liked about it. I know, I should look through pictures, yada, yada, yada. Who has time for that??? I barely have time to post this outburst, let alone start rummaging through pictures. Besides, anytime I start traveling down memory lane, I end up a total emotional wreck, saddened by where the time has gone. Anyway, I HATE MY HAIR!!!! I just really needed to get that out.

New Born Nation

So, this morning we were watching a show on Animal Planet called Breed All About It. Today's show was all about dalmations. As we listened to the beginning of the show and some interesting facts about puppies, like they are born withOUT spots (who knew?) Kira turned to me and said,

"AWWW, they're so cute. I want a New Born Nation."

VACATION FUN!!!!

Here they are - some pix of the six of us having a WONDERFUL time on vacation in Orlando. It was a much needed time away. I love this picture of Bailee looking at the castle. When the afternoon show was over and the princesses disappeared into the castle, her shoulders fell and she wimpered "It's not long enough." I am happy to tell you that she recovered quickly; it could have gone either way!

Keeping up with the boys-Flag Football

Peek-A-Boo

Cheyenne was over last week and was so much fun. She is really playing independently and enjoying her cousins so much. It is such a joy to see this precious little one exploring the world around her and communicating her amazement to us. We love you, sweet girl!
Here she is playing peek-a-boo with me. She is so tiny she almost completely fit in the cabinet! She was giggling and belly-laughing--it was a blast to see. She is such a fun girl.

Bailee gets her "Ears Peered"

Doodle decided she wanted to get her ears pierced, so I took her (a couple of weeks ago) do do so. She was so brave--I was very proud of her. She didn't even cry, not so much as a wince even. The FIRST time.
Shortly after she got her ears pierced, while shopping at another store, she and Kira were MIS-behaving and one of her earrings got pulled out of her ear COMPLETELY!! Yes, there was blood and a LOT of tears. :( I found the earring and its back and, after cleaning it off, tried to put it back through her newly pierced ear only to find it had already started to close up and the earring would not go through! Panicked, I march her and Kira back to the store for help and am told we need to re-pierce her ear. We were asked to walk around a little so that the ear would close a bit more and then come back. After a walk over to Cinnabon and a purchase of a six pack of the BIG rolls (that I really don't need) we headed BACK to Claire's. Up in the chair she went and a new earring was shot into her ear. She made no noise, but plenty of tears were flowing. From Bailee AND Kira. It was so sweet to see Kira heartbroken that her sister was in pain. After Bailee came down from the chair, Kira looked at Bailee and got very close. They were forehead to forehead and Kira was whispering to Bailee and she shook her head. I don't know what was said, but it was so sweet to watch. It reminded me of how very lucky I am to have these wonderful girls in MY life! Thank you, Lord!

Hi, Ho, Hi, Ho It's off to school we go

Heading out to catch the bus

And there they go. Heading off to the bus stop. Isn't Kyle so sweet? He looked back to make sure I was okay and not crying yet. He is still my little boy who loves his mom. (Even if he doesn't want to admit it anymore.)
