I WONDER...

I wonder where children learn to be so particular about abstract sorts of things. I wonder why the way in which I pour juice into a sippie cup invokes such blood curdling wails! I wonder why the color of the sippie cup even matters. I wonder why blankets need to be pointed to first and *then* laid upon my child only to be told the blanket was put on wrong and needs to be turned over. I wonder why, when I try to repeat that placement the next night, it has to be all wrong!!! I wonder why there is such a thing as a dog whisperer and a horse whisperer, but no such thing as a child whisperer. I wonder how a child can be so rotten and so wonderful all at the same time. I wonder if a strong will is something a child is born with or if it is a learned behavior. I wonder if they get it from me...........
